Here we are at another week of my Sunday Sleep in – where I publish a weekly post that summarises some of my favourite things for the week.
A lot of the picks will focus on blogs and articles I’ve read, but I will include businesses and products I’ve found as well. I’ve started with a few categories but as time goes on perhaps I will add to them – we will see! If you have categories you would like me to include please let me know.
Here we go….
The Sunday Sleep in – the best of the week!
Firstly let me say I have been reading so much stuff I love this has been very, very hard to condense for you – I don’t want to make it too long as it sort of defeats the purpose…but anyway let me know if you think I’m getting carried away!
Sorry but the articles in this section this week are a bit “bloggy”…promise they won’t always be! But have a read even if you’re not a blogger as they are interesting.
Things I would do differently at Problogger – Vanessa at Website Confetti wrote this great post about the Problogger event we met at, I love her list as I can relate to a few!
Simple Ways to Build a Blog – I’ve declared last week “Maxabella Loves” week as she was on fire with her posts – I went a little share and comment crazy with them but I couldn’t help it.
The Truth about tampons that no one talks about – enough said. Another great published by Foodmatters.tv.
A message for my little boy who likes to wear tutus – this article about a mum (or mom in this case) responding to someone commenting about her little boy who likes to wear tutus. Love it.
Just Cause I Like it
Spring cleaning your wardrobe– I’m getting right into this business of embracing a “simple life” and I’ve realised my wardrobe is a major part of this….it needs an overhaul! Now don’t check the date on this article as I am cheating…I only read it this week I promise! Another good one on the same topic is on Keeper of the Home.
Why not add your goals and tasks of embracing a “simple life” into our daily planners which you can download here
Photography tips for capturing special occasions – something completely different from the rest but very handy!
An Oldie but a Goodie
Dealing with difficult people – rude bastards – so I went to Bron’s (Maxabella Loves – I know, again) site to read her latest post on “Dealing with Difficult People – Drama Queens” and found an older one on Rude Bastards, which made me really “lol”…so I have linked to both for you.
Lame is the new black – the funniest thing about this post “Lame is the New Black” is possibly the fact I hadn’t even heard about the app Jess refers to in it…so who is lame now?
Great expectations and facepalms – yep we have all been there..check out the very funny and lovely Jo at You Had Us at Hello!
Missed it Last Week so mentioning it now
Sustainable Living – I’m also (trying) to get more into sustainable living…this post from Malinda at My Brown Paper Packages was excellent…I actually don’t know why I didn’t include it last week, I think I did my usual and saved it in my links then didn’t read it till this week. Anyway have a look!
Business/Product I think you will love (or at least like a lot)
The Naked Bakery – I mentioned this in my blog post on “The Definition of Chocolate” during the week. Sorry but it’s really only relevant if you are in Perth! The Naked Bakery makes a whole heap of delicious treats that are made with love and have ingredients sourced from local and organic farms (where possible). In their words:
“Prepare to be seduced by raw goodness, as we bare all to bring you unholy delights….delicacies made with ingredients to nourish you, stripped of all the bad stuff, too delicious to not be naughty”.
How did I go? Do you have any favourite posts I missed?
