Here we are at another week of my Sunday Sleep in – where I publish a weekly post that summarises some of my favourite things for the week.
A lot of the picks will focus on blogs and articles I’ve read, but I will include businesses and products I’ve found as well. I’ve started with a few categories but as time goes on perhaps I will add to them – we will see! If you have categories you would like me to include please let me know.
Here we go….
The Sunday Sleep in – the best of the week!
An FYI for you all, this week my reading has suffered due to a certain someone leaving her tax returns to the last minute…anyway I still managed to fit a bit in so here are my favourites!
20 Things you can get rid of without even missing – technically not helping with your efficiency (I can’t recall reading anything amazing about that this week…hmm…let me know if you have!), but hopefully if you remove some of the “stuff” from your life you might get some time back!!!
Scary Facts About the Beauty Industry – pretty self-explanatory, a great read by Amy on The Holistic Ingredient.
We’re Failing. Is it Time to Rewrite the Rules – this article at Oz Baby Trends discusses how we are our own worst enemies and need to “declutter” our lives emotionally – and mostly importantly, stop feeling guilty.
Just Cause I Like it
I’ve changed. And it’s because of a boy – I’m cheating a little as this is an older post by my gorgeous friend Allie from Two Birds, but I was reminded of it by watching her video and reading her latest post about being the change you want to see in the world. Please have a look, as she has a beautiful story to tell.
An Oldie but a Goodie
Picture books about starting school – Oh Creative Day published this great list of books about starting school – I’ve pinned for later (like 2 years later)!
Everyday Style: How to Dress for a Thermomix Party – Hugzilla’s take on a thermomix party had me laughing…even though I LOVE my thermie and wouldn’t wear a fanny pack if my life depended on it. Whilst you are over there, have a read of “Who the Hell is Hugzilla anyway” for so more amusement.
My First Post – I met Darren during a workshop at Problogger and he is such an inspiring person. Have a read of his first post and take a look around his site to find out why I think he is so special.
Missed it Last Week so mentioning it now
Kids and Screen Time – Ellen at Potential Psychology looks at whether watching TV really is bad for children…and I like her conclusion :)
Business/Product I think you will love (or at least like a lot)
The Prosper Project – is a very cool Perth based business that sells organic superfoods (at very rseasonableprices!) as well as making some very yummy goodies (raw treats, granola etc). She also likes to name products after her favourite hip hop artists (Pea Diddy Protein balls anyone?).
In Shannon’s words: “My mission is to take the wank out of eating well. It shouldn’t cost more to be healthy and it shouldn’t be so serious”
How did I go? Do you have any favourite posts I missed?
