I’ve written previously about how much I love visiting the Subiaco farmers market, however due to moving house and then a holiday, until last weekend we hadn’t been for several weeks! You can imagine my withdrawals…
That aside, after our absence I noticed a few new lovely stalls…I’ve been meaning to share on facebook or instagram but haven’t – so I thought I would do a post to quickly tell you about them (as well as some old favourites!). This isn’t just for Perth peeps either – hopefully it shows everyone the variety that can be found a your local markets!
My Favourite Subiaco Farmers Market Finds
I’ve brought this cold pressed almond milk several times before and it is DELISH! Normally I make my own Almond Milk, which is fairly nice (if I do say so myself)…but I have a secret to admit…I could never drink it on its own. And the girls wouldn’t drink it “straight up” either! But this almond milk is sooo creamy and yummy – Miss M drank it in her bottle without question and asked for more!
No more making it for me, I cannot match this delicious product!
This stall was a new one for me and the name drew me in for a closer look! These crackers are super yummy and full of good stuff (and gluten free).
As with the almond milk, I generally make my own nut butter…but when I saw this stall I thought I would give it a try! I actually really dislike peanut butter, so I’m not sure why I tasted this flavour…probably due to the coconut being mentioned I guess! Anyway, it is super yummy! Coconut and peanut together are delicious (never thought of that before!) and this makes a great spread or addition to your cooking. In fact, I may be working on a new recipe using it!
Pate is not something I’ve had a lot of in my life (I did try and make it the other day with limited success though), so I initially walked past this stall. Curiosity (and the sudden desire to try pate and terrine) got the better of me and I tried a few things. I’m so glad I did because they were AWESOME! My favourite being the Duck and Orange pate – all kinds of yummy and even better it comes in a cute little jar so you can serve it straight up.
Anything tickle your fancy? As I said, for those of you who haven’t been to a farmer’s market, hopefully that shows the variety of produce you can find there!
So tell me – have you read my posts about the markets and been inspired to visit?? Or do I need to convince you some more?
