It’s a pretty normal thing as the year draws to a close for everyone to reflect on where they’re at and perhaps set some resolutions for the coming New Year. Resolutions that will have the best of intentions behind them and will come into full effect January – and then lose steam by March. And then you feel awful about it!
What if I said to you don’t set any New Year’s resolutions. I have something better for you!
Last week I received my December Love Letter (which, for your information, is all kinds of awesome). Each month the girls include some inspirational cards in the letter for you to enjoy. This month they included something that I think is the BEST idea for setting yourself up for your best year ever in 2015.
So I’m going to borrow the idea. Thank you ladies.
Your 5 Adventures for 2015
Instead of resolutions as such, think about five adventures you would like to do during the year. To quote the girls, they can be “big or small, near or far, short or long”. Remember this is your list – so it can be ANYTHING! How much happier do you think you will feel as we move through 2015 if, instead of trying to change things about yourself, you simply have a list of some really awesome things you want to try! Who knows how you will change as a result?!
I had an idea…call me crazy…but how about we all write our list under this post, then in 2015 we can hold each other accountable? Are you in?!
Ok here goes…I’ll admit it was a little difficult at first for me to think of what to include (and this is a reduction from the 10 suggested by the Love Letter ladies!)…some are larger adventures than others, but they are adventures none the less! Don’t judge my ideas…
- Go overseas (I know, not very specific…)
- Take the girls to Castledaire Miniature railways – now don’t laugh! Thanks Amanda :)
- Attend a raw food workshop – (hurry up A Little Bag of Sunshine he he)
- Go to an Xtend Barre class with a lovely friend of mine
- Attend the Problogger conference again this year – wherever it may be
So there you have it – my 5 for 2015. What are yours? Don’t make me look bad by not including anything! :)
